The History of Sidonius
L a Sidoine, nestled at the foot of Mont Ventoux, began its journey as a simple agricultural farm. It was in the 1960s that this building, then modest, opened its doors to the first visitors. The owner at the time, a farmer, welcomed cyclists in search of a well-deserved break, offering a warm refuge in an authentic Provence.
After a period of silence, La Sidoine was taken over by a passionate couple, who carefully renovated it to turn it into a bed and breakfast. At the end of the 90s, Nat and Jean-Pierre took over. For 17 years, they not only renovated the property, but also cultivated the art of hospitality, welcoming travelers with generosity.
Then came Catherine, who enriched the place with new amenities such as the jacuzzi and the swimming pool, bringing modern comfort to the guests. For almost 10 years now, we,
Marc & Hilde, we took over in turn.
First in the form of guest rooms, the Sidoine
has gradually transformed to meet
to the changing expectations of our visitors.
In 2020, we redesigned the rooms
in lodgings, with one idea in mind: to offer our guests
an "independent cocoon", without losing the spirit
of conviviality and sharing which has always made
the soul of Sidonius.
Today, each accommodation offers you a private living space, with bathroom, kitchen area, dining area, and private terrace, allowing you to combine autonomy and conviviality. We want everyone to find the balance between privacy and sharing, in the natural and welcoming setting of the Sidoine.
